Margaret Peggy Whelan, 56, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Ms. Whelan was born September 19, 1953 in Oceanside, NY and moved to Florida in 1982 before moving to Vero Beach two years ago from Fort Pierce, FL.
She attended St. Clare School and Lavelle School for the Blind. Ms. Whelan was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, the National Federation for the Blind and Sight Seekers of Fort Pierce, FL.
Survivors include her beloved mother and lifelong companion Dorothea Whelan; brother Robert Whelan; sisters Maureen Kieninger and Diane Sordoni.
She was predeceased by her father Warren Whelan, brother Francis and sister Barbara.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 7550 26th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
