Obituary

Marge was called home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 after a long illness.
Marguerite Rose (Landino) Basile is the wife of John Basile and daughter of the late Salvatore Landino and Mary Landino. Marge was born in New Haven, CT and graduated from East Haven H.S. She leaves a son Edward Lanouette of North Haven, CT and a daughter, Michelle Garcia of Fort Pierce, FL and two grand children Lil Joey Garcia and Kameron Garcia. She also has two step daughters, Virginia Breer and Beth McGrath both of VT. As well as two step grandchildren, Alicia and Joseph Greer. She also had two sisters that predeceased her, Barbara Muelo and Joanne Minie. She leaves 3 sisters, Marie Socco, Sally Stone and Cynthia Vece and 15 nieces and nephews.
Marge retired from the Federal Government in 1994 where she was chief of Military personnel and training at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, MA. and was an Air Force Chief Master Sargent in the A. F Reserves and served on active duty during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
She moved to Vero Beach with her husband in 1994. She worked at St. Peters Academy until May 2008 as the Administrative Assistant.
Marge was an avid bowler and loved gardening. The true love of her life was her two grand babies and life itself.
Service: The family will receive friends 6-8 PM, Friday, September 18, 2009 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach, FL. A Mass will be celebrated 10:00AM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL Military Honors will follow.
