Maria Conceicao Carlos Vasconcelos, 79 of Sebastian, Fl, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at daughter's residence in Sebastian, FL.

Maria was born and raised in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal and relocated to Angola, Africa in 1969. In 1975 she returned to the Azores before immigrating in 1984 to East Providence, RI with her family and children. For the last 8 years she has resided in Sebastian, coming from East Providence, RI.

Maria was a jewelry assembler for America Ring Company for 16 years in East Providence, RI, before retiring in 1999 and was a member of St. Francis Charismatic Group in East Providence, RI. Maria was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Fellsmere, FL.

Maria is survived by her husband of 55 years, Manuel Antonio Vasconcelos of Sebastian, FL; 9 children, Antonio Manuel (Isabel) Vasconcelos of Toronto, Canada, Fernando Carlos (Maria L.) Vasconcelos, of Rehoboth, MA, Gorete LeVasseur, of Rehoboth, MA, Maria DeLurdes (Paul) Botelho of Sebastian, FL, Francisco Manuel (Luisa) Vasconcelos of Sebastian, FL, Odilia (Dimas) Faria of Sebastian, FL, Sonia Maria (Joseph) Rego of Assonett, MA, Jose Carlos Vasconcelos and his fianc, Mary Ellen of Sebastian, FL, Henrique Carlos (Cathryn) Vasconcelos of East Providence, RI; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Henrique Carlos and Antonio (Maria C.) Carlos of East Providence, RI; and a sister, Maria Lurdes Miranda of Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at St. Helen Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 2501 Oak Lawn Avenue, Suite 435, Dallas, TX 75219 or VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
