Obit: Maria E. Ferris
Maris E. Ferris, 80, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Ferris was born November 23, 1930 in Birkenfeld, West Germany. She moved to the United States in 1956 and moved to Vero Beach in 1966.
She had worked for the Indian River County School System in the lunch room at Citrus Elementary prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and crafts.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years Wilbur A. Ferris of Vero Beach; three daughters Marion Wright of Gurley, AL, Barbara Rice of Vero Beach and Patty Kapp of Jackson, MS; a son Andrew Ferris of Vero Beach; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 4-7 pm, Monday, April 4, 2011 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 201 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
