Maria F. Roberts, 95, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her home in the presence of God and her children.
She was born in Brunssum, Netherlands and moved to Vero Beach in 1945, coming from her birthplace.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
She worked as a housekeeper for St. Helen's convent prior to retiring from Piper Aircraft in 1983. Following retirement, Mrs. Roberts served 18 years as a volunteer with Indian River Memorial Hospital's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne (John) Mitchell, Catherine (Doug) Smart, Margaret (Ron) Bray, Patricia (Gene) Criss and Johanna Maria Roberts; sons, John Harold Roberts and James Roberts; brother, Matthew Stalman; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by her husband, Harold A. Roberts and sisters, Monique Tissot Von Patot and Barbara Schmidt.
A viewing will be held 5-7 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce, FL.
