Marie Louise Nickerson 74, of Vero Beach, FL died December 30,2025 with her family by her side.

She was born to the late H.L. and Esther Nickerson on December 10,1951 in Barstow, CA. The family moved to Vero Beach when Marie was five, and she spent the rest of her life there with brief visits to each of her siblings. Marie graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1970 and received her AA from Columbia Bible College in 1972.

Marie was employed as a certified nursing assistant until she retired in 2013. She attended many nursing courses and was noted for her caring attention to all her patients.

Marie was an avid reader, especially reading many of the famous classic books as well as reading and memorizing passages of the Bible. She loved crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble with her family and friends. Family was of great importance to Marie, and she took great pride in her many nieces and nephews.

Marie is survived by her brother, Larry Nickerson, of Argyle, TX; Nancy Moody, of Vero Beach; Carol Kurz, of Huntingdon, TN; Susan Hilton, of Warner Robins, GA. She is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private gravesite service at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
