Marilyn Ann Rich, 78, of Marion, NC died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Sunrise Rehabilitation & Care Center in Marion.
Mrs. Rich was born January 26, 1930 in Pittston, PA and lived in Sebastian, FL from 1954 - 2007 before moving to Marion.
She had been the proprietor of Richs Restaurant in Vero Beach and the Western Auto Store in Sebastian, managed the Driftwood Inn Restaurant and had early on worked at the Vero Beach Country Club and the Indian River Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rich was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church in Sebastian.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Clarence Rich of Marion; daughter Kathy Sherman (Tim) of Marion; two sons Clarence Bud (Cyndi) Rich and Howard (Toni) Rich of Vero Beach; two sisters Doris Maughan of Fort Pierce, FL and Ellie (Randy) Miller of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers Bobby (Pam) Jones of Heiskell, TN and Howard (Mary Ann) Jones of Seabrook, TX; and nine grandchildren.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service will take place 1 PM, Friday, October 31, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church in Vero Beach with interment at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach. A reception will follow at Grace Lutheran Church.
