Mario Pirraglia, 87, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away December 17, 2013 at his residence.
He was born October 25, 1926 in Providence, RI and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Miami, FL.
Mr. Pirraglia was a veteran of the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement in 1997, Mr. Pirraglia worked as a Teacher for the Miami Dade County Jail juvenile outreach program. He also coached girls' softball and boys baseball for many years at Sunniland Park in Miami.
Mr. Pirraglia was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florence Pirraglia; daughter, Debra Pirraglia of Vero Beach; son, Kenneth (Holly) Pirraglia of Miami; grandchildren, Anthony, Jason, Brandon and Brian; great grandson, Konnor and great granddaughter, Lilly. He was predeceased by his sons, Michael and Steven Pirraglia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 pm, Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.
