Marjorie H. Braender of Vero Beach, Florida, died July 31, 2017.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 8,1925 and lived 25 years on Long Island, New York.

She excelled as an artist all her life, having studied at the Central Park School of Art, NYC, and with many noted artists throughout her life. She was an accomplished silversmith, selling her work for over 46 years; an aspiring photographer, a member of the Photographic Society of America and a business woman for five years with General Motors' Treasurer's Dept., NYC.

In 1953 she went to Saudi Arabia for two years as Secretary to the Director of Preventive Medicines and to the Hospital Director. It was here that she met her husband, and in 1955 she returned to the USA and they were married.

After establishing a family, they moved from Springfield, New Jersey to Summit, NJ where she worked as Secretary-Treasurer for the Summit Express Co., (Allied Van Lines). All these years, she continued with her art and silversmithing and was appointed Director of International Turquoise Assoc. in Nevada. (a protective organization of the True American Indian Silversmithing Trade). In 1979, she joined the Lighthouse Gallery and School of Art in Tequesta, FL working as Assistant Bookkeeper, for eight years.

Finally, in Vero Beach, FL, she joined the Artists Guild Gallery in 1990 as co-owner for twelve years. She also became a member of the Vero Beach Art Club and the Vero Beach Museum of Art, where she had shown many paintings. All this time, she continued to work in silver jewelry, photography and painting.

Surviving are two children, Carol Arabia B. Moran and Richard Edward Braender (and his wife, Deedie); and six grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Kevin, Shannon, Eryn, and Sean.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Braender in 2016.
