Ira Markham "Mark" Hendricks, 69 of Vero Beach, Florida by way of  Crystal Springs, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, February 24th  with his loving wife by his side.

Mark was born on April 9, 1951 in San Diego, California to his parents  Creath and Ira Hendricks. He grew up in the South with a deep love for  all things Mississippi; especially Ole Miss and Civil War battlefields. He  relocated to Florida where he married Barbara "Barbie" Custer  Hendricks in 1990. It was then that he began his career with Walgreens,  having retired after 29 years in 2019. He then began to live a retired life  to the fullest; traveling to Ole Miss and UF football games, watching his  grandkids play sports and enjoying time with his precious pup "Kirby".

Mark was an avid coin enthusiast, history buff, train collector and all  around friend. He loved being around his family and watching his  daughters and grandchildren grow up and accomplish their dreams.

He is survived by his wife Barbie Hendricks of Vero Beach, FL, a  brother Randy Hendricks of Orlando, FL, his daughters Christina  "Kimmie" Lamm (Toby) of Vero Beach, FL and Amy Stevens (Adam) of  Apex, NC and his grandchildren Abigail "Abi" Lamm, Toby "TJ" Lamm,  Jordan Stevens and Caymen Stevens. He is preceded in death by both  of his parents, Creath and Ira Hendricks.

Mark's life will be celebrated at Cox Gifford Funeral home on Saturday,  March 20th at 11:00am. There will be a "drive by" procession at 1:00pm  at the Hendricks' residence where people may drive by and wave at the family and offer their condolences. We ask that anyone in attendance  please wear the colors red and/or blue in celebration of Mark's favorite  things. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the charity  of your choice or thank a healthcare worker with a random act of  kindness in Mark's name.
