Mark S. Thornton, 40, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach after and extended illness.
Mr. Thornton was born May 25, 1967 in Rockledge, FL and has been a longtime resident of Melbourne, FL before moving to Vero Beach three weeks ago.
He had been a member of the first Baptist Church and Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach. Mr. Thornton had been in the construction industry and CAD design in Brevard County, FL.
Survivors include his wife Anne M. Zolobkowski of Vero Beach; father Hubert Thornton of Melbourne, FL; mother and stepfather Connie and Tom Johnson of Vero Beach; brother Brian Thornton of Vero Beach; sister Deborah Bates of Melbourne, FL; maternal grandmother Jeanette Whiteside of Tavernier, FL; and step-daughter Melissa Monteleone of Palm Bay, FL.
Mark was predeceased by his sister Tammy Ritter and brother Timothy Thornton
Services: The family will receive friends 4 - 7 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Winter Beach Cemetery in Winter Beach, FL with Pastor Frank Ellis of Kings Baptist Church officiating.
