Marla Jean Jock (nee Hoffmann), 74, of Vero Beach, FL, passed peacefully on Tuesday August 18, 2020, reuniting with her beloved husband Kenneth Robert Jock and loving daughter Wendy Lynne Leonard.
Marla was born November 9, 1945 to Mabel Emma Rohloff and Elroy Joseph Hoffmann in Milwaukee, WI. Growing up in Milwaukee with her older brother Darrell and younger sister Sandra, she enjoyed many summer outings to Shawano Lake in northern Wisconsin with family and friends.
She attended Washington High School and then Marquette University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
It was during her time in college as a young nursing student that she met the love of her life, Ken, a young Navy recruit on leave from Great Lakes, during a party at the famous Eagles Club (as the story was told). They were happily married on May 14, 1966, beginning 53 years of loving companionship and adventure together.
Residing in Wisconsin, Marla enjoyed spending time with her many friends and neighbors while raising her 3 children, Paul, Wendy, and Kevin. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and her favorite activity, getting her hair done.
Retiring to Florida, Marla immensely enjoyed her time with her friends at the pool and being the best grandma to her 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Brandon, Dillon, Amber, Kyle, Josh, Travis and Jason.
She is survived by her sons, Paul (Diane) Jock of Waukesha, WI and Kevin (Diana) Jock of Eagle, WI, her sister Sandi (Joe) Jaklich of Franklin, WI, and brother Darrell (Carol) Hoffmann of Delafield, WI. A private service is being planned at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
