Our beloved parent, aunt, cousin and friend, Martha "Marti" Jane Moore Hanson, who was born in Clarksburg, WV on September 7, 1926, passed away in her home in Vero Beach, FL on September 16, 2013.

Marti Hanson was a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture. She was the owner of an interior design business until she was 80 years old. She was a member of the Junior League, DAR, Vero Beach Yacht Club and Quail Valley River Club. She was involved with the Vero Beach Art Museum, the Bridge Center and enjoyed the theatre and orchestra. She is much loved and missed by her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter Shaw Hanson, Sr. and grandson William J. Carver III. Marti is survived by her children, Christina H. Carver and Peter S. Hanson, Jr.; grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Carver, Catherine M. Carver, Christina E. Hanson and Peter S. Hanson III. David Vogt, Marty Snyder, Judy Walck, Stephen Hanson, Alden Hanson, Scott Hanson and Christopher Hanson are nieces and nephews who survive her. Merton Prunty of Huntington, WV is a much loved cousin who survives her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McKee Botanical Garden, Vero Beach or to a charity of one's choice.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
