Martha Jean T. Flynt, 73, passed away June 17, 2019 at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.  Born March 5, 1946 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina she was daughter of the late Ben E. and Martha (Wertz) Thompson, Jr.  She was the beloved mother of Paul B. (Loural) Flynt, David J. (Leah) Flynt and Luke A. (Jennie) Flynt and nine grandchildren.  She leaves a brother, John B. Thompson and his wife Kathy. She moved to Vero Beach from Winston-Salem, NC in 1952.  She raised her sons in Vero while working as a medical transcriptionist.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:00am at the Cox Gifford  Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20 ^th Street, Vero Beach, 32960.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory would be sincerely appreciated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial will be private.
