Marvin Ackerman, 78 of Melbourne, passed away November 21, 2010 at William Childs Hospice House, surrounded by his wife, son, and other family members. Born in Curtis, WI on 6-14-32. He was 1 of 13 siblings. He retired from Elburn, IL Fire Dept. and served as chief for 22 years. He was a Korean War Veteran. His passions were family, friends, and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce, son Ron (Debbie) and loving grandchildren Amy and Matt. Hes survived by 7 siblings and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to William Childs Hospice House of Palm Bay. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2-3pm followed by a memorial service at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne.
