Mary S. Ebbrecht Clough, 93 passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2012. She was born March 8, 1919 in Baltimore, Maryland and resided in Queens and N.Y. City where she attended school and college. She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond H. Ebbrecht. They spent 41 happy years together in Deer Park and Ridge; Long Island, New York. They had two children James Walter Ebbrecht (deceased 1990) and is survived only by Evelyn Jeanne Murdock DiFilippo. She has six grandchildren Glenn (deceased 2008), Gregory Murdock, David and Peter Ebbrecht, Susan Turrentine and James John Ebbrecht. And 12 great-grandchildren Amanda and Timothy Murdock, Ashley, Elsie Jenna and Christopher Murdock, Arron, Haley, Katelin and Megan Ebbrecht and Johnathan and Shelby Rae Turrentine.
She was a "Golden Lady" and so loved by all who got to know her. She was a devoted mom, wife and grandmother. She was employed by Jerricho, Deer Park and Half Hoelow Hills School districts on Long Island as senior account municipal clerk. She retired to Florida and has been a resident of Fort Pierce for 27 years. After moving to Fla, she became active in several churches and women groups, she taught crocheting and needlepoint to her friends and was a 4 star bridge and Bingo player. She loved boating, fishing and claming and was an awesome cook, loved entertaining and Sunday family afternoon gettogethers. She played the chello and organ and was an avid reader of biographies and historical novels. Her golden hands have given everyone in the family handmade crocheted afghans to cherish.
At age 82 in 2001 Mary married her long time greatest friend Walter Clough her bridge partner for years. They settled down in Fort Pierce and have spent 11 happy years together. They attended Tabernacle Ministries Church in Vero Beach. Walter helped Mary through many health issues with his gigantic love and understanding of her. Their motto came to be "This to shall pass". He also is a "Golden Man".
She leaves behind many precious memories, but most importantly she leaves behind an example of love, faith, courage and determination to serve God until the end.
She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be surely missed.

Friends may call from 11-1:00 PM on Monday, June 25, 2012 with a service at 1:00 PM at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, Vero Beach, Florida. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach, Florida.
