Obituary

Joan Giustino, peacefully journeyed to be with the Lord on November 19, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family in Florida. Born on January 28, 1937, in Worcester, MA, Joan was the daughter of the late Roland Messier and Anita Choiniere Messier.

Joan faced the challenges of dementia with unwavering strength, and her family had been preparing to admit her to memory care in Connecticut. In a merciful twist of fate, she was spared from that path and found solace in singing to the Lord.

A woman of remarkable grace and compassion, Joan touched countless lives through her generosity and kindness. Her hands crafted over 500 quilts, each a tangible expression of her love, all of which were donated to abused women's shelters and newborns. She was a beacon of warmth and care, spreading comfort to those who needed it most.

Her love for music and friendship manifested in her weekly singing sessions with dear friends at the veterans'; club. These moments were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of shared melodies, a testament to the vibrant life she led. Joan Giustino lived a life that radiated love and
left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, offering unwavering love, support, and prayers to her family. Her presence was a source of strength, and her absence will be deeply felt. Joan leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of her surviving
