Mary Anne Hearn Porter Moosher was born on August 17, 1929 in Berlin, New Hampshire to Katherine and Walter Hearn. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1947 and the University of New Hampshire in 1951.
While working in Cambridge MA in 1954 at the Harvard Business School she met and married Robert Noble Porter of Greencastle, IN. They had two daughters together.
She lived in Harrisburg, PA and Tonawanda, NY before settling in Carmel,NY and taught fourth and fifth grades for 34 years. She received her Masters of Education from Western CT State College in Danbury CT.
In 1976 she married Erwin E. Moosher from Carmel, NY and became step-mother to his six children. Together they owned the Middlebranch Restaurant in Brewster NY with their friends Vinnie and Josephine Colasacco.
In 2002 they retired to Vero Beach FL.
She is survived her husband of 39 years, Erwin; her two daughters, Nancy (David) Stork of Portola Valley, CA and Kathy (Phillip) Zogran of Stuart, FL, Erwins six children; four grandchildren, Alexander and Olivia Stork and Brandon and Kelly Zogran. She also has one great grand child, Autumn Aurora Stork; sisters, Nancy Peffley of Roseville, CA and Margaret Richardson of Concord, MA; 3 nephews and 1 niece.
