Mary Josephine D'Hulst Wegner, 90, died Sept. 2, 2014 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. She was born in Lake Forest, IL, and graduated from Lake Forest High School. Mary worked in the payroll department of Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL. She met and married Gerald Wegner in 1944. Mary was active in the American Legion (Post 264) Auxiliary for 3 decades. Mary and Jerry resided in Lake Forest until 1980, when they moved to Vero Beach. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Alida, brothers Jerome and Frank, and her husband Gerald. She is survived by her son, Gerald Sterling Wegner (Debbie) of Dublin, OH and grandchildren Elizabeth A. Wegner and David A. Wegner.
Ms. Wegner will return to Lake Forest, IL where a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Wenban Funeral Home in Lake Forest, IL will handle arrangements in IL.
