Maryse Rolande Michelle SaintOmer Ross, 83, of Vero Beach. Passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2016, with family by her side at the VNA Hospice House.
Proceeded in death by her Soulmate/Husband, Carl R. Ross, and Son, Thierry Michael Ross.

Survived by Daughter, Carole-Lyne Ross Mize (Michael) of Vero Beach, Son, Stephane Louis Ross (Rebekah) of Mobile, Ala., grandchildren, Sebastian Tyler Ross (Michelle) Osteen, Fla, Sabrina Maryse Carey (Kirk) and great-grandson, Finn Hendrix Carey of Laurel, MD., and Spencer David Ross of Mobile, Ala., Cousin, Danielle Faulkner of MI, and much loved Dog, LouLou.

Born outside Paris, France on April 23rd, 1933 to the SaintOmer Family. Maryse and family lived 1934-1938 in Turkey as Her Father and Grandpere were building Railroads. In 1939 her family returned to the safety of France, as WWII was just beginning in Europe, only to live in occupied territory until the end of WWII. Maryse became a French/American translator for the US Army in 1953 and met Carl R. Ross on the Base. Carl swept her off her feet and they married in 1954. From 1955 thru 1969 she traveled to many Army bases across the United States.

Carl and Maryse then retired from Army life in 1969 to Vero Beach, Fla to open the Vero Sewing Center for the next 25 years, and in 1994, they truly retired. Carl and Maryse were as true partners in Life, traveling back to France and around the world with the Rotary. Belonged and active in The Foreign Born Women's Club, Rotary, Navy League, and MOAA, (Where she was a key figure until her illness in March). As an usher at The Community Church of Vero Beach, she will be remembered as that "very nice french lady" that loved to tell you where to sit every Sunday.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 18th, 2016, at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Memorial contributions can be donated to the Dogs for Life, 1230 16th Ave, Vero Beach Fl 32960.
