Matthew Dominic Bystry's Obituary
Matthew Dominic Bystry, 82, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, August 18, 2011. He was our Polish Prince.
He was born August 4, 1929 in Baltimore, MD. He was a resident of Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Baltimore.
He was of the Catholic faith and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the United States National Guard.
Mr. Bystry was a fine fisherman, and a boating, bowling and sports enthusiast.
He was former Vice President of Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. in Baltimore.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Elizabeth J. Bystry; sons, Mark D. Bystry, Brian P. Bystry; daughters, Carol D. Dunaway and Amy L. Serkedakis; and eleven grandchildren.
Services: A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL.
