Maureen K. Lureau, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away on Monday, March 04, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Mrs. Lureau was born October 21, 1940 in Chicago, IL. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for 21 years, coming from Detroit, MI. Prior to her retirement she worked as a medical assistant for 15 years. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Saint Helen Catholic Church. Following her retirement she volunteered her time at Saint Helen.Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Thomas John Lureau of Vero Beach; son, Kevin Lureau of Vero Beach; daughters; Lisa Lureau of Vero Beach and Renee Lureau of Pensacola; sisters, Sheila Meyer of Tomahawk, WI and Patricia Marrazz of Hemet, CA; brothers, Terry Sullivan of Vero Beach and Edward Sullivan of McHenry, IL; and 2 grandchildren, Cheryl Peek and Melissa McCartney. Services: A visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Saint Helen Catholic Church with Reverend Antony Pulikal officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Helen Catholic Church at 2085 Tallahassee Ave, Vero Beach, FL, 32960.
