Melanie Sue Jolly, age 33, died as a result of an automobile accident on Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Boynton Beach. Born in Miami, she had lived in Okeechobee since 1982. She attended both New Haven Ministries and Ft. Drum Community Church.
She attended OHS and was a member of the Class of 96. With a love for the outdoors, she enjoyed horseback riding, four wheeling, and skeet shooting.
Survivors include her son, Cutler Meigs and daughter, Emma Kay Boney, both of Okeechobee; parents, Johnny Woods of Okeechobee and Susan Beard (Gary Moore) of Winter Haven; sister, Heidi Wagner of Penn.; grandfather, James Beard of Lake City, Fla.; aunt, Becky Boner of Canada; and cousin, Wendy of New York.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. with services following at 10:00 a.m. at Buxton-Seawinds Chapel at Abundant Blessings Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Drum Cemetery.
