Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 11, 1963, Mike passed at home on October 31, 2009 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Raised in Milford, Connecticut, Mike attended Foran High School. After attending Norwalk College, where he majored in Technology, Mike worked in construction before he moved to Florida 15 years ago.
Upon moving to Vero Beach, Mike opened Agresta Woodworking and Design. A true master craftsman, he designed and built fine custom furniture and cabinetry. His artistic nature and attention to detail made his work, and his reputation, stand above the rest.
Mike enjoyed outdoor activities boating and fishing off the waters of the coast. While dealing with a difficult fight with cancer, Mikes concern for other people outshined his illness; He made many friends who were going through treatment right alongside him and always greeted them with a smile. He felt their highs and lows, as well as their courage and fear.
Mike leaves behind his loving and supportive girlfriend, Tammy Jones of Vero Beach; his beloved and devoted mother Linda Bourgea, along with his step father Richard of Jensen Beach, FL.; his father Frank Agresta and step mother Laura of Wallingford, CT; Loving brother Richard and sister in law Kim of Madison, CT; sister Jennifer Joseph and brother in law James of Bristol, Ct; sister Jacqueline and brother Mathew of Wallingford, CT; nephew Spencer Agresta and niece Abigale Agresta of Madison, CT; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins in Connecticut and Florida.
Services: A memorial service will take place 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
