Obit: Michael J. Balsan, Jr.
Michael J. Balsan Jr., 82, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Balsan was born July 20, 1928 in New York City and moved to Vero Beach in 1994 from Racine, WI.
He had attended Stuyvesant High School and graduated from New York University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation from NYU he accepted a position at Morey Machinery in NYC. After postings in Paris and Astoria , NY he subsequently moved to Racine, Wisconsin and started a successful career in industrial machine sales. He purchased P&S Manufacturing where he held the joint titles of President and CEO for 15 years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all forms of hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kathleen; his four children, Dr. Michael J. Balsan III of Erie, Pennsylvania, Kathleen Balsan of New York City, Monica Balsan of Melbourne and James Balsan of New York City; and his six grandchildren.

Services: Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Friday, July 8, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach followed by a reception at The Racquet Club.
