Michael Bruce Carpenter, 63, of Vero Beach, FL died suddenly Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Carpenter was born May 1, 1946 in Columbus, OH and moved to Vero Beach 1 year ago from Boca Raton, FL.
Prior to retirement he worked at the Palm Beach County School Board for 6 years as an Appliance Technician.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was a member of Team Spam in Vero Beach. He was an avid fisher, hunter and motorcyclist.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Melinda Carpenter of Vero Beach, son Shawn Carpenter of Mt. Vernon, OH, daughter Kelsey Axiotis of Boca Raton, FL, sister Sharon Haberman of St. Cloud, FL and five grandchildren.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 6 PM, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with the family receiving friends from 5-7 PM.
