Michael Vincent Chiarantona, 48, of Sebastian, FL, died Wednesday, June 16, 2009 at the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce due to the results of an automobile accident.
Mr. Chiarantona was born February 17, 1961 in New York City, NY and moved to Sebastian 12 years ago from Auburn, ME.
He was formerly a Corrections Officer in Auburn, ME for 10 years. He was a member of Saint Sebastian Catholic Church and attended Saint John of the Cross. He served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Karen Chiarantona of Sebastian, FL; two sons Vincent Chiarantona of Orlando, FL, and Michael Chiarantona of Sebastian, FL; daughter Kelly (Blake) Bassett of Winter Springs, FL; mother Josephine Chiarantona of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers Vincent Chiarantona of Woodstock, GA, and Richard Chiarantona of Sebastian, FL; sister Jeanne (Frank) Bonelli of Kings Park, NY; and mother-in-law Vera Kelleher of Floral Park, NY.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL.
