Michael James Gillespie, 64, of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, February 08, 2013 at his home. Mr. Gillespie was born April 16, 1948 in Kingston, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for seven years, coming from New York. He served in the United States Army. He was of the Catholic faith, and attended the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Albany, NY. Later he attended the First Church of God in Vero Beach, where he gave his life to our Lord Jesus Christ. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Post Master in Leeds, NY for 27 years. Survivors include his brother, James Gillespie of Vero Beach; step-son, Tyler Gillespie of Ohio; aunt, Aggie Sapinero of Delray Beach; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Teresa Gillespie. Private family services will be held at a later date.
