Michael L. Miranda Jr., 89, of Vero Beach, Fl died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Royal Palm Convalescent Center in Vero Beach.

Mr. Miranda was born August 19, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Vero Beach 28 years ago.

He served in the United States Army during WWII and he attended St. Helen Catholic Church.

Prior to retirement he worked for the United States Postal Service in New York City, NY for 22 years.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years Anna Miranda; son Michael (Mary) Miranda of Barnegat, NJ; daughter Madeline (John) Negherbon of Vero Beach, FL; Sister Marie Marino of Staten Island, NY; and four grandchildren, six great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and one great-grand-daughter

A visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral mass will be held at 12pm on Monday, April 16, 2012 St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery with military honors.
