Milo James Miller

Milo James Miller, a lifelong resident of Vero Beach, passed away on August 13, 2025. He was the son of the late Milo Calhoun and Annie Bell Webb Miller.

Born and raised in Vero Beach, Milo took great pride in his hometown and left his mark on it in a lasting way. As the owner of M & R Roofing Company, he built and repaired countless homes and businesses—earning the good-natured reputation that he had "built half of Vero."

Milo was happiest at home, where he enjoyed working on cars, and tending to his garden—reaping the rewards of what he sowed. He also took great pride in caring for his property, making it a place of comfort and beauty.  Milo liked to fish and  he loved spending time outdoors, enjoying the simple pleasures of life in the community he cherished.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula Jones and her husband Kevin; sister, Louise Cooler; brothers, Richard Miller and his wife Sue, and Sonny Miller; grandchildren, Kevin Jones, Ashley Jones, and Hunter Jones; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Jase, Grayson, Remy Jean, and Knox.

In addition to his parents, Milo was preceded in death by his daughter, Joann Miller; sisters, Mary Ann Purvis and Charlotte Caudill; and former wife, Thelma Miller.

Milo's legacy is not only in the buildings he helped create, but in the relationships, memories, and quiet moments he shared with those who knew and loved him.
