Montgomery Boyd Moltz, Sr., age 84, of Vero Beach, FL, died peacefully Saturday, September 16, 2017, at VNA Hospice House. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen A. Moltz; his children, Kenneth V. Moltz, Lawrence A. Moltz, Cari L. Moltz, Montgomery B. Moltz Jr., Diane M. Prokop and Sharon A. McElroy; grandchildren; Zach McElroy, Jason McElroy, Alek Nieves, Logan Prokop and Chad Moltz.
He was the son of the late Michael and Carrie Virginia Moltz. He is survived by three brothers, Eddie, Bobby and Preston Moltz; two sisters, Carolyn Kettner, and Beverly Kahl and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends and a large extended family.
Monty served in the US Army for 2 years stationed in Germany. He was employed as a Pressman for the Washington Post, Evening Star and finally the Wall Street Journal until his retirement in 1995.
A Memorial Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, FL 32754
Arrangements are being handled by Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach, FL.
