Muriel D MacLeod, 96 of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Squantum Massachusetts, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday June 24, 2015, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. Muriel was born on January 22, 1919 in Devon CT, and was an only child. She was married to her husband the late Edward S MacLeod of Squantum, Massachusetts, and survived by her two children, son Richard D MacLeod and wife Rebecca (Becky) of Ft Pierce, Fl and a daughter Gayle A.M Macleod Ashfield and husband Lee A (#2 son), and Loving friend Patricia A. Dooley (Aunty Patty).

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren. Lisa Fisher of Massachusetts, Kimberley Randall of Vero Beach Florida, Patricia Lothrop of Vero Beach Florida, Jennifer Ciampa of White City Florida, Rich Haley of California, Brad Smith of Colorado, Christine Bartlett Holmes of New Hampshire, Nick Compston of Manchester CT, Kelly White of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Connor Macleod of Ft Pierce Florida, and Robin Ashley Kelly of Maine. Surviving also are Muriel's 13 great grand children, Christopher Fisher, Daniel Doran, Ashley Lothrop, Adam Fisher, Cassidy Lothrop, Aiden Smith, Isaiah Santos, Madyson MacLeod, Dominic Ciampa, Dylan MacLeod, Skylar MacLeod, Akira Smith and Lyric White.

Muriel and Edward built their home in Squantum Mass., both worked very hard for their family, Muriel worked out of the home but always had a 5 course meal on the dinner table for her children. She started working at Proctor & Gamble in the Lab, and there is where she met her best friend Nellie Lyons. Muriel became a caregiver to her step father Morton, her mother Mary Kish Cole and her husband Edward S MacLeod. She took care of all of us.

Muriel enjoyed the ocean, swimming, reading. She loved the beauty of the nature when she would go camping with her family. She also enjoyed antiquing and visiting garage sales on the weekends. Muriel loved life, she had a contagious smile that would light up the room when you saw her. What Muriel enjoyed most was the love and comfort of all her family and loved ones.

The MacLeod family would like to send out a special THANK YOU to the VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach, they were with Muriel every step of her journey.

The visitation is from 2:00 PM until 3:30PM on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Cox Gifford Seawind Funeral Home and Crematory 1950 20th St Vero Beach, Florida 32960. Memorial Services for Muriel Macleod will be at 3:00PM for anyone that would like to attend.
