Nancie Lou Staples, 74, of Barefoot Bay died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.
She was born on January 16, 1935 in Ogdensburg, NY and moved to Barefoot Bay 20 years ago from Hawkinsburg, NY.
Prior to retirement she worked for New York State as an Unemployment Claims Examiner for 18 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her son William R. Staples of Middletown, NJ; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and companion John White of Barefoot Bay.
She is predeceased by her daughter Christine Staples Tucker.
