NANCY JANE JOHNSON
Nancy Johnson of Vero Beach died peacefully at VNA Hospice Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Born January 21, 1934, she grew up in Johnstown, PA, and graduated from Penn Hall and Tobe Coburn Fashion School in NY.
She raised her family in Pound Ridge, NY, lived for 10 years in Cleveland, OH and moved to Grand Harbor in 1998 with her husband of 55 years, Edward Johnson.
Nancy was known for her generosity, totally giving of her heart and time to family, friends, and co-workers. Her greatest passion was the world of fashion and retailing having spent more than 30 years working in various specialty stores and boutiques. She has been an inspiration to many in her determination to win this most recent medical journey.
Family always came first with Nancy and she is survived by her husband, Edward, daughter Jeanette Johnson of Dallas, TX, daughter Linda Scheuer of Mason, OH, son Keith Johnson of San Antonio, TX, sister Janet DaGrosa of Mount Laurel, NJ and two loving grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 17th at 10:30 am, at the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd Street. Join us immediately following for a celebration of her life at the Grand Harbor Clubhouse.
