Nancy Truex Cluthe, age 83, died peacefully on December 18, 2014 at the Hospice Unit of Palm Beach County, after a brief struggle with cancer.
Nancy was born February 12, 1931, in Morristown, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Charles R. Truex and Ruth Bescherer.
Nancy thoroughly enjoyed athletics, boating, fishing and the outdoors.
In 1951, Nancy married the love of her life Richard A. Cluthe and lived in North Caldwell, New Jersey prior to moving to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Nancy became a resident of Vero Beach with her husband in 1979.
In addition to raising their three children she also was active in Garden Club and on the local bowling teams. They owned several classic cars over the years which she thoroughly enjoyed showing them at local car shows.
Nancy was a member of Vero Christian Church and a volunteer at the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach.
Nancy is survived by her sister Ann Dickenson; son, Gordon Cluthe of Vero Beach,Fl.; daughters, Diane Busch of Jensen Beach, FL. and Susie Reed of North Palm Beach,Fl; six grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends.
There will be a celebration of life at Vero Christian Church January 8 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Vero Christian Church, 3250 Oslo Road, Vero Beach, Fl. 32968.
