Nancy E. Curnin, 75, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Curnin was born March 1, 1936 in Glen Cove, NY and moved to Vero Beach five years ago from Atlanta, GA.
She is a graduate of George Mason University, with a degree in education, and taught elementary school in the Falls Church, VA area. After moving to Atlanta she became the proprietor of Hilderbrand Galleries, an antique store known for fine English Furnishings. Mrs. Curnin was a member of the Community Church in Vero Beach, the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club and a member of the Indian River Medical Center Auxiliary Pink Ladies
Survivors include her husband of 55 years Peter J. Curnin of Vero Beach; three sons Peter C. Curnin, Jay T. Curnin and Jeffrey A. Curnin all of Atlanta; a brother Charles Luyster of Huntington, NY; a sister Esther Glover of Long Island, NY; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River Medical Center Auxiliary Pink Ladies, 1000 36th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
SERVICES: A Life Celebration Memorial is planned for 1 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Grace Chapel of the Community Church in Vero Beach. Interment with services will be at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs, GA on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 1 PM..
