Nelly C. Walker, age 92, died at home on Friday, May 6, 2011. Nelly was born in Okeechobee and a lifetime resident.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Franklin Walker and sons, William Billy Walker, James Jimmy Walker, Donald Levi Walker,
and Joseph Eugene Walker.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Walker of East Branch, NY; daughter, Carol Ann (George) Powell of Okeechobee; grandchildren, Tracy (Steve) Boesch of Katy, TX, Joseph Eugene Walker, Jr., Pamela Rowe, and Johnny Lee Walker, all of Okeechobee; great-grandchildren, Alex and Ellie Boesch of Katy, TX, Michael and Justin Rowe of Okeechobee; brother, J.A. Tootle of Okeechobee; sister, Sarah Morice of Ste. Genevieve, MO; sister-in-law, Wilma LaMartin of Okeechobee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. at Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
