Nelson H. Neely, 85, of Ft. Pierce, FL died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Neely was born September 10, 1922 in Charleston, WV and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1968 from his place of birth.
Prior to retirement he had worked at the Fort Pierce Power Plant. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army Air Corp and was a member of the VFW Westside Post 8058, the American Legion, AmVets and the Ft. Pierce Masonic Lodge in Ft. Pierce.
Survivors include his daughter Jan Blackwell of Ft. Pierce; son Dennis Neely of Ft. Pierce; son Terry Neely of Ft. Pierce; son Doug Neely of Jeffersonville, KY; daughter Debbie Fidler of Hurricane, WV; daughter Brenda Johnson of Dunbar, WV; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will take place 2 PM, Friday, September 5, 2008 at the VFW Westside Post in Ft. Pierce.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the VFW Westside Post 8058, 33475 Douglas Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981.
