Nita May Hunter Chase, 79, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Chase was born May 21, 1930 in Versailles, IN and moved to Vero Beach in 1958 from Versailles, IN.
She worked for Rosenbergs Shoes and Ladies Apparel in Vero Beach before going to work for the Property Appraisers Office in Indian River County for 16 years. Mrs. Chase was a member of the Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach and the Order of the Eastern Star in Vero Beach for 25 years.
Survivors include her spouse, Louis W. Chase of Vero Beach; daughter Brenda Ames of Fellsmere, FL; son Bruce Hunter of Vero Beach; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Hager HO ONeal Hunter and her two brothers Charles Richmond and Lavern Richmond.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7:00 PM, Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Kings Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
