Norman Hoss G. Maupin, age 71, died at home Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011.
He was a resident of Okeechobee for 35 years and owner, operator of Hoss & Sons Aluminum.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His hobbies included spending time with family, playing the guitar, singing, and classic cars.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Patty; sons, Jesse (Susan) Maupin of Md., Gregory, Norman (Adrianna), and Jason Maupin, all of Okeechobee; daughters, Norma Jean Axon of Sebring, Yvonne and Tonya Maupin, both of Okeechobee; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Jan) Maupin, Jr. of Jacksonville; and sisters, Norean Schoonmaker of Ga. and Elsie (Donald) Taylor of Okeechobee.
A private memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011.
