Norval M. Storm Sprunger, 77, of Barefoot Bay, FL died Friday February 13, 2009 at Sebastian River Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Sprunger was born August 12, 1931 in Hartford City, Indiana. He was married to Carol L. Craig on February26, 1954. Residents of West Palm Beach, FL for 53 years, they moved to Barefoot Bay 7 years ago.
Storm enlisted in the United States Navy in October 1951. As a Naval Aviator during the Korean War, he served aboard the Escort Carrieer U.S.S. Cape Esperance. He was a member, in good standing, of the Palmwood Lodge #303, The Scottish Rite, The Shriners, American Legion Post #189, VFW Post # 9610, The Loyal Order of the Moose # 1767, and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carol Sprunger; children Douglas, Joellyn, Tracy, Jon, Scott and Melissa, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, brothers David Sprunger, Richard Goldner, Truman Bud Goldner, Jr., sisters Deborah Judy, Mary King, and Ellen Allison.
He was predeceased by his son Timothy Wayne Sprunger, parents Arlo Sprunger and Pearl Massey Goldner, brothers Leroy Lee Sprunger, Robert, William and James Goldner, and sister Judith Weiland.
A memorial service will take place March 21, 2009, at 1:00 PM, Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S Fleming St, Sebastian, FL.
