Obituary

Olive Meade, 94, of Vero Beach Florida was called to her heavenly home on February 19, 2021 and is now in the Glorious presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left this world peacefully in the comfort of her home with family by her side.

Olive was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1927. Her greatest memories in New Jersey were times spent with her Aunts, Uncles, her dear Cousins, Morningside Terrace and the backyard garden, along with the extended Meade family.

Olive's greatest joy in life was spending time with and taking care of her family and home. She also cherished the memories that were made with her extended Florida family known as "The Gang", with all their New Year Celebrations, time spent boating on the Indian River, Super Bowl parties and many other memorable gatherings.

Through her devout faith, Olive also cherished ministering at Life for Youth Camp, where great memories were created with her granddaughter and the many other children day campers. She also ministered to the children at the Fort Pierce Detention Center, the homeless at The Source, many lady's prayer groups and local congregations just to name a few. Her genuine love and concern for everyone's Salvation and Life in Jesus our Savior was evident through Christ's boundless love in her.

Olive leaves behind her three children, Jeff, his wife Lisa, Mark & Cheryl, her granddaughter Lyndsey Meade, and many family members that will continue to hold Olive close in their hearts and cherish the memories that were made with her.

A private family graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, Florida where Olive's ashes will be laid to rest beside her mother, Mary Miller.

Olive's legacy is in the many lives she touched. Since a public memorial/service will not be held, where we would all gather together and share memories, please feel free to share your own memory or photos here online for all of us to read. You know she would want to tell each and every one of you, that she loves you very much. And if there were telephones in heaven! You know she would be calling you herself to say it.

In lieu of sending flowers, Olive would prefer that you donate to:
