Pansy Holland Odom passed from this life on March 11, 2013 in Vero Beach, Florida with her family by her side. She was one of five children born to Jesse and Sarah Holland who settled in Vero Beach in 1919. Pansy was a lifetime christian and while attending the Church of God, at the age of 20, met the love of her life, Jim C. Odom Sr. They were married in 1951. Shortly there after, Jim enlisted in the United States Airforce and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii where Pansy joined him. While there, they gave birth to their first son, Jim Jr. in 1955. After he completed his service, they relocated to Rockledge, Florida where they welcomed their second son, Mark Odom, in 1958. In 1959 they moved back to Vero Beach where they happily raised their two sons. Pansy was a devoted mother and wife and was very dedicated to her family. In their later years, they became grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren and enjoyed taking them on trips in their motor home and shared special memories together. Pansy is survived by sons, Jim C. Odom Jr and Mark A. Odom of Vero Beach and their spouses Lynn Guy Odom and Treasa Wilson Odom and her three grandchildren Alissa Odom Wright, Jared Odom and Rachel Odom Alderman and her great grandchild, Benjamin Alderman also of Vero Beach. Visitation will be held at Cox Gifford Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Twentieth Avenue Church of God on Friday March 15th at 11 am with the Reverand Jerry Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetary in Vero Beach.
