Paolino T. Mauro, 82, of Spanish Lakes Country Club, Ft. Pierce, FL died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice.
Mr. Mauro was born September 14, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1985 from his place of birth.
Prior to his retirement he had been a self-employed tailor whose projects including making President Kennedys inaugural suit. Mr. Mauro was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years RoseTamburello Mauro of Ft. Pierce; son Ferdinando Mauro of Ft. Pierce; son Joseph Mauro of Staten Island, NY; sister Anna Rose Mauro of Staten Island, NY; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Ferdinando and Grace Mary Rizzo, and a brother Salvatore Mauro.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-8 PM, Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL. Interment with military honors provided by VFW Post 3918 will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Ft. Pierce.
