IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
Bryan
September 17, 1937 – February 9, 2025
Priscilla Ann (Steele) Bryan, of Vero Beach Florida, died peacefully at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach Florida on Sunday February 9, 2025. Priscilla was born in Steubenville, Ohio. She spent most of her school years in Washington DC area, residing in Chevy Chase Maryland and attending the Holton Arms School. Her father practiced international law and her mother was a model, a career she followed later on in life. One of her fondest moments was recalling seeing her father sworn into practice in the Supreme Court. A renaissance woman, she was creative, smart and quite athletic, earning her silver skates in figure skating, fishing and playing baseball and basketball with the boys, and with a penchant for climbing trees as a child. Later in life, when her parents retired to the Stuart area where they lived near Francis Langford at the Rand estate, she went to work as Harold Grants exclusive model for many years in North Palm Beach. It was then she met her beloved Pat, whom she married and enjoyed 34 great years together focusing their time on family, faith and friends.
During her 87 years, Priscilla aka 'Nana' led an amazing life as a wife, mother, fashion model, actress (SpaghettiOs commercial), Orange Bowl Princess, member of First Methodist Church Vero Beach, Stephen's minister, Pi Beta Phi sorority member as a Rollins College alumnus, graduate of Holton Arms School, 3X cancer survivor, genealogist, thrift store connoisseur and passionate follower of Christ. She never met a stranger, quick to tell a story and before you knew it you had made a new best friend. She loved her family, friends, gardening (Don Juan Roses being her favorite to grow), going to church, dachshunds, lights and holidays most specially Easter and Christmas for their meanings and to be with family. Her faith was always at the center of her life, she would use acronyms like FROG (Fully Rely on God) and He A'rose' with her props of Roses or Frogs to mention a few. She will be remembered always as our Matriarch and full of hope and light throughout every challenge she faced with her signature signing off each contact with a 'God Bless'.
Priscilla is survived by her husband, Garth Patrick Bryan (Pat), daughters Gwyneth "Wyndi" Fournie (Murray) and Christi Knight, Grand-children, Bronwyn Knight, Aubrey Ribar (Brandon), Wells Fournie and Calvin Knape, Stepdaughter Antoinette Knape (Pete), Stepson Max Bryan and his family. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond & Marcine Steele and grand-daughter Sophia Knape.
The family plans for a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice House Foundation Endowment Fund. 920 37th Pl #101, Vero Beach, FL 32960
