Patricia "Pat" VanDeusen (née Caldwell) died peacefully in her sleep at VNA Hospice House on May 7, 2019, in Vero Beach, Florida at the age of 79.

Pat was born on April 16, 1940, in Syracuse, NY. She was a member of United States Airforce. She married John VanDeusen in 1969. She worked for Onondaga County Department of Social Services for over 28 years before retiring in Vero Beach, Florida.

Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, John VanDeusen; children, Renay Bates (Jim) of Columbia, SC, Richard VanDeusen (Barbara) of St. Louis, MO, and Linda Gaddis (Frederick) of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jessica Johnston (Kenneth), Rebecca Haworth (Shawn), Thomas Conway (Melissa), Amber, Darren, and Gregory Gaddis, as well as five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Daisy Caldwell; daughter, Lynn Holiday, and brother, Jack Caldwell.

A memorial service will be held on June 22, 2019, at 10 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, Florida, with a reception to follow at the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35 ^th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
