Paul Thomas Grange, 74, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away May 6, 2018.
He was born December 5, 1943 in Cleveland, OH to the late Donald T. and Margaret Grange. As a young child he had many fond memories living in Scotland and on the family sailboat in the Mediterranean. He later moved to Evanston, IL and attended Campion Jesuit High School in Wisconsin. Paul was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam conflict.
Following his time in the service, Paul attended University of Central Florida, then known as FTU, and graduated in the charter class with a bachelor's degree. Go Knights! In 1970, Paul relocated to Vero Beach and met his wife Sheila Byrne. They wed in 1974 and had a son, Patrick.
Paul was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. He was an avid photographer and owned a photography studio in Vero Beach. His current job at Orchid Island Golf Club gave him much joy meeting and making friends with co-workers and members of the club.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife, Sheila Grange; son, Patrick Grange of Vero Beach; brothers, Terry (Barbara) Grange of Hutchinson Island, FL and Stephen (Barbara) Grange of San Clemente, CA; brother-in-law, Roger Byrne and his partner, Cynthia Periolat of Chicago, IL; brother-in-laws, William (Susan) Byrne of Vero Beach, John Byrne of Milwaukee, WI and cousin-in-law, Bonnie Eliason of Saint Germain, WI as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Sally Sass.
A visitation will be held 2-3pm, Thursday, May 10 th followed by a 3pm Wake Service at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35 th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County Attn: Development Department, PO Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961.
