Obituary: Paul A. Matteson
Paul A. Matteson, 70, of Sebastian, FL died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Sebastian River Medical Center.
Mr. Matteson was born January 29, 1941 in Detroit, MI and moved to Sebastian 18 years ago from Millville, NJ.
He had served honorably in the US Navy and acquired a two year college education in New Jersey. He retired as a lieutenant from the Department of Corrections, New Jersey, serving thirty years. He was a life member of the Sebastian V. F. W., a life member of the Sebastian Elks and a life member of the Police Benevolent Association, Local 105 of New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years Brenda C. Matteson of Sebastian, FL; his daughter Susan (James) Farrell and their children Catherine Alora Farrell and James Thomas Farrell, III of Riverhead, NY; his stepdaughter Deborah (Lawrence) Whitesell and their children Patrick Lawrence Whitesell and Lauren Ann Whitesell of Millville, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Carolyn Joy DiSalvia of Newfield, NJ.
Services: No services are planned locally.
