Paul Alfred Thorlakson, 91, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Thorlakson was born June 21, 1918 in Wynard Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to Vero Beach in 1978 from Bloomfield Hills, MI.
He was the owner of Progressive Tool and Industries in Southfield, MI.. Mr. Thorlakson was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and a member of the Henry Ford Trade School Alumni Association. He was a founding member of the Birmingham Country Club in Birmington, a member of The Moorings Club of Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Yacht Club.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Rosemary Thorlakson of Vero Beach; son Daniel Thorlakson of San Clemente, CA; daughters Joan Jugloff of Phoenix, AZ and Rosemarie Wennlund of Chicago, IL; son Leo Thorlakson of Lake Orion, MI; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will take place in Chicago at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
