Pauline Jones, 85, passed away on February 16, 2013 at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach. She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Wabasso. Earlier in life, she worked for Graves Brothers and was co-owner of her family's business, Jones Groves. She was also a life long member of Grace United Methodist Church. Being the Matriarch of her family for many years, she was loved and cherished. Her most treasured times were spent with family during holidays and celebrations. She will be remembered for her love of birds - cardinals especially - and everything purple! She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry Jones; daughters, Linda DeBlasio and Nancy McColl, both of Vero Beach; grandchildren Carrie Correa, Jerome DeBlasio, Shawn DeBlasio and Katie DeBlasio, all of Vero Beach, and Richard Powell of Norfolk VA; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard Jones of Wabasso, Marshall Jones of Vero Beach and Joe Jones of Winter Haven; sisters, Joyce Smith of St. Petersburg, Jennie Bryant of Vero Beach, Marlene Jones of Vero Beach and Joanne Callaghan of Vero Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Minnie Jones; brothers, Wendell Jones, Bud Jones and Pete Jones; and sister, Jewell Hedberg. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Avenue in Vero Beach.
